AUTODOC

Autodoc GmbH is an online auto spare parts company with headquarters in Berlin. It operates online shops for cars - and truck - Spare parts in 26 countries. Customers primarily include private individuals and smaller workshops. The company was founded in 2008 by Alexej Erdle and Max Wegner under the name of E&S Pkwteile GmbH and has been operating under the Autodoc brand since 2015. CAMPAIGN GOAL

One Engine Media worked together with Autodoc on their leading app on Android and iOS aiming to acquire highly engaged users who would make in-app purchases, in order to reach ROAS goals.

PROCESS

In order to acquire new users we use our proprietary Machine Learning technology that helps brands connect with consumers with a full funnel solution that propels growth with the right auedience. We apply user-level targeting based on machine-learning algorithms, real time-request data and aggregated data from our DMP, to run effective UA campaigns. Focusing on user profiles, rather than placements, allows us to help online auto parts company such as Autodoc, acquire the most relevant users for their app. When we started running UA campaigns in Europe for Autodoc on Android and iOS in December, our initial approach was intent-based targeting — targeting users that showed direct interest in the multiple relevant genres — preowned cars buy/sell, vintage car collectors, and more. This approach allowed us to acquire significantly higher LTV users. Then, our machine learning models gradually learned the patterns of the users that were most engaged or made purchases on the day of their install, which allowed us to target similar users and eventually resulted in beating the defined ROAS KPIs and a specific geo-wise surge across the continent.

RESULT

We were successfully able to create a new audience base in France, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom and Sweden where earlier the conversions were insignificant. Our machine learning technology helped us recognize the audience and targeted to consumers who were likely to make purchase using intent-based targeting.

GROWTH

Working with the team OEMW is an excellent experience. The team responsibly performed well in overall ROAS, by optimizing as per our requirement. We can clearly see the results that they have driven for us. We look forward to a long term relationship with the team. All managers quickly perform optimization to improve the quality of traffic for our company. With each month we see an improvement on all indices.
